Ukulele/ Palaka Collection

Hoshio in Boy's Ukulele Aloha Shirt

The ukulele design is an ode to our family and the Hale Aina Awards, an annual dining award event created by Honolulu Magazine. In 2012, when our daughter/muse Izzabelle was 2 years old, the phenomenal female ukulele artist Taimane was performing. Izzabelle was filled with great joy and went to the front of the stage and danced the night away being spoiled by local Chef’s like Chef Roy Yamaguchi and Chef Chai with customized small plates for her tiny hands and palette. Ukulele in Hawaiian means dancing flea. We originally did this design with ukulele and digital houndstooth and now have updated it with a modern Hawaiian palaka print in the back.
